Update on LAADS FTP Issues

The LAADS FTP site continues to experience intermittent errors due to ongoing
maintenance on the archive disks. When an archive disk is down, the files on
that disk will cause errors if pulled from the FTP site. The files that are
temporarily unavailable changes from day to day as archive disks are brought
up and down.
To help identify these files, the LAADS Web search has been updated to show
the status of files on archive disks that are down as "Temporarily
Unavailable". Also, a Current Archive Status
page has been created which lists the collections, products, years, and days
that are on archive disks that are currently down.
